Friday, April 17, 2009 Blue Ribbon Day hey what's up people. (: today was blue ribbon day and i hope ya'll had a meaningful time out there, asking for donations. i know, its real tough. but everyone has a part to play right? haha. well, as for me, i'll share what happened today okay? (: today, at about 7.20. i arrived at the school hall. everything was pretty boring to be honest. there's alot and i say ALOT of talking. but if you listen its quite interesting. after all the talking and prize giving, the choir members sang two songs. btw, to all choir members, that was awesome. (: after the whole ceremony, we went to collect out tins and waited for some friends. we went to jurong point and reached there at about 12.00 pm. then started collecting money. at first i was afraid. but the next thing you know, i was not afraid of being rejected. i was actually chasing after people, asking for donations. and as expected, most of them would either walk away as if your some lamp post, say no, say "i'm sorry" or just smile at you. you gotta agree with me right? so yeah, eventually, the more generous people donated and i collected more then some of my friends who started at 7am and with me, starting at 12pm. 5 hours of collection is ALOT. i left the place at about 2 and my tin was about half filled in two hours. of course, i was tired. so i slept in the bus. hehe. ;D so that's what happened for my blue ribbon day. maybe some of ya'll should share what happened to you today. i'd be looking forward to reading more of your entries regarding your experience on blue ribbon day.
